Harris Williams Grows London Office
Firm adds two senior bankers to new branch
January 20, 2010
Harris Williams & Co., which opened a London branch late last year as part of an effort to take advantage of an expected uptick in cross-border European M&A activity, has added two dealmakers to its office across the pond.
Last month, the middle-market boutique brought on Thierry Monjauze, a former Deutsche Bank M&A professional, to spearhead its expansion and serve as head of its new European business.
Francois Morin and Redvers Norrie join as senior bankers in Harris Williams' London office. Morin previously worked for The Blackstone Group, where he focused on the technology industry (mostly the software, digital media and information technology services sectors). Before Blackstone, Morin was part of UBS Investment Bank and Deutsche.
Like Monjauze, Norrie joins Harris Williams from Deutsche, where he was stationed in London and Sydney and advised clients from industries such as telecom and media, energy and power, industrials and technology.
In December, Harris Williams closed 12 deals. Almost half of its 2009 strategic M&A mandates were cross-border.
