FairPoint Files Reorganization Plan

Telecommunications company to emerge from bankruptcy with $1 billion in new financing

FairPoint Communications Inc., a Charlotte, N.C., telecommunications company that petitioned for bankruptcy protection in October 2009, filed its reorganization plan on Monday in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.
