Alitalia's Board Weighs Options
Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi has denied plans of putting Alitalia into bankruptcy.

The board of struggling Italian airline Alitalia held a special meeting over the weekend to discuss its options as it awaits a rescue plan from its financial adviser.
According to Reuters, the board did not plan on issuing a statement about its meeting, and representatives from the bank, Intesa Sanpaolo, were not at the meeting.
Alitalia was to be sold to Air France-KLM, but that deal broke apart earlier this year and the airline has been since flying with the help of a government loan. Potential plans that have been talked about include breaking off the airlines healthy units and putting the airline under special administration.
