FOCUS Bank To Run IT Segment
More than a dozen bankers and advisors will serve M&A transactions in a growing space.

FOCUS LLC, a national middle-market investment bank, will form an information technology group, it announced Wednesday.
FOCUS' group will concentrate on software, IT services and transaction processing companies, it said in a statement.
The group will be led by George Shea in the firms Southeast region and will include Jim Harper in the Southeast; Brad Balow, Marshall Graham and Manan Shah of the Mid-Atlantic region; Michael Zook of the Midwest region and John Bradshaw, Bob Netter, Laura Russell-Jones and John Simpson of the Western region.
In addition, Mark Braunstein, Dick Cook and Don Hollis will work with the group as senior advisors; each built and sold tech companies prior to joining FOCUS.
"The formation of this industry team, focusing on the information technology industry, is a natural outgrowth of our past success providing merger, acquisition and capital formation services to the information technology industry," Shea said. "In the past three years, almost half of FOCUS' business derived from clients in this industry, and we continue to execute an increasing number of cross-border transactions in today's market."
