Cowen Lands Merrill Internet Banker
During his time at Merrill, Schultz led the IPOs of several big names and advised on eBay's acquisition of Skype Technologies.

Matt Schultz, the former head of Internet and digital media investment banking at Merrill Lynch, has joined Cowen & Co. as a managing director within technology investment banking.
Schultz, who will be based in Cowens San Francisco office, will head up Internet banking and report to David Ketsdever, Cowens head of technology investment banking.
"Matt's addition greatly enhances Cowen's expanding investment banking franchise, said Donald Meltzer, Cowen's head of investment banking. Matt both re-established and grew Merrill's Internet and digital media platform, and I believe he will be a tremendous asset as we increase our market share in the technology sector."
During his time at Merrill, Schultz led the IPOs of several e-commerce names, such as Blue Nile, FTD and eHealth, He also advised on numerous strategic transactions, including eBay's acquisition of Skype Technologies.
Prior to his role in building the Internet and digital media practice, Schultz was a member of Merrill's semiconductor investment banking team.
