William Blair Lands New Telecom Analyst
Another senior analyst has agreed to join the boutique to help launch coverage, but he has not resigned from his current company yet.

William Blair is expanding its equity research group to include coverage of the telecom sector with the hire of well-regarded senior analyst Jason Ader, according to IDD sources.
Additionally, another senior analyst has agreed to join the boutique to help launch coverage, but he has not resigned from his current company yet.
Ader joins from Thomas Weisel Partners, where he worked for more than eight years. He followed companies in the communications equipment industry with a focus on IP networking. Prior to Thomas Weisel, he held positions at H.C. Wainwright and Advest. Ader will join William Blair within the next month to six weeks.
Chicago-based William Blair’s team of 23 analysts cover the sectors of business services, financials, healthcare, consumer and technology.
A William Blair spokesman declined to comment.
