Merriman Curhan Names Thrift COO Of Asset Management
Thrift replaces John Hiestand, who is moving to Merlin Securities.

Merriman Curhan Ford, an investment banking boutique, has hired Jack Thrift as chief operating officer for Merriman Asset Management. He comes from Pacific Growth Equities.
Thrift will be responsible for overseeing general operations including client service, legal, accounting, product development and marketing strategies.
The firm has developed an institutional quality partnering platform for various hedge fund products and investment strategies, said Thrift, adding, I look forward to doing my part to increase assets across this platform and to help the firm create value overall.
Thrift is a 20-year veteran of the industry. He served as partner and CFO of Pacific Growth, where he was in charge of fund administration and accounting activities for hedge funds and venture funds.
