Citadel Continues Bulge-Bracket Recruitment

Citadel hired three other bulge-bracket bankers, including another JPMorgan vet, last month.

Hedge fund manager Citadel Investment Group announced it hired Bill King as a senior managing director and head of securitized products. He was previously JPMorgan's global co-head of securitized products.

King started at JPMorgan in 2000. Prior to his most recent position, he was head of pass-through trading, head of mortgage trading and co-head of US securitized products. Before JPMorgan, King worked as a mortgage trader at Donaldson Lufkin & Jenrette and Merrill Lynch.

"This is an unprecedented time in the securitization markets, and we are committed to putting our firm in the very best position to identify opportunities today and in the future," said Ken Griffin, president and chief executive of Chicago-based Citadel, in a statement.

Last month, Citadel recruited three other bulge-bracket bankers, including fellow JPMorgan veteran Patrik Edsparr as CEO of its European business and head of fixed income.
