Editor's Note: 12th Annual Deal of the Year Award Nominations
November 25, 2009
Investment Dealers' Digest is pleased to announce the 12th annual Deal of the Year Awards.
This year’s special edition profiling the winners will be published on Jan. 29, 2010. The nomination window is open until Dec. 18, 2009. To submit nominations and find out more about the awards, click here www.iddmagazine.com.
Founded in 1997, the Deal of the Year Awards aim to honor the best work investment bankers have done -- the transactions that created the most value against the longest odds, the ones that pushed the boundaries of convention, the ones that made a lasting mark on their industry. To be eligible a deal must close during calendar year 2009.
The Deals of the Year are selected solely by the editors of IDD. This year, the editors will select the top deals in 11 categories, as well as an M&A Deal of the Year. Industry categories are private equity, energy, healthcare, technology, telecommunications, financial institutions, real estate, industrial, media, retail, and (for the first time) restructuring. Lead advisors for buyers and sellers will be cited. (We reserve the right to skip a category if no strong entry emerges. A deal need not be nominated to be considered.)
As part of the annual Deal of the Year program, IDD also honors individual professionals and firms for outstanding work throughout the year, with awards for Banker of the Year, Middle-Market Banker of the Year, Bank of the Year, and Middle Market Bank of the Year.
