CalPERS Loses CEO and CIO

Pension fund announces departures of Buenrostro and Read in the same week, plus other personnel moves

Fred Buenrostro, chief executive of the California Public Employees' Retirement System is retiring after six years to work in the private sector. In addition, Russell Read, CalPERS' chief investment officer, is leaving the pension fund for a career in environmental investing.
