IDD’s 4th Annual “40 Under 40”

Aimed at uncovering the up-and-coming talent in investment banking and capital markets, our popular program returns for another year.

After our first three wildly successful years, IDD is happy to announce it is now accepting nominees for its fourth annual “40 Under 40” issue.

Our “40 Under 40” effort is a spin-out from our prestigious annual “Deals of the Year” awards, recognizing the top 40 up-and-coming investment bankers, aged 40 and under. We’re asking firms to submit nominations by Oct. 30.

To be clear, the “40 Under 40” is not a ranking, but rather a listing of bankers we view as talented team players.

Part of the aim is to build on the Deals of the Year concept of pinpointing a transaction -- in this case, naming an individual -- in order to highlight the talent of the team working in his/her respective product area. The summaries won’t be long, but they will go far in terms of speaking to each firm’s commitment to reputation and responsible capital raising. And with 40 slots up for grabs, IDD can bring a wider variety of talent to the forefront than can be done with our Deals of the Year program.

The requirements are fairly straightforward: All nominees must be 40 years or under as of Oct. 30, 2009, and have shown a capacity for innovation and leadership while working within the team concept that is so prevalent on Wall Street. We seek nominations from across global offices and are open to each product line found in the investment banking industry.

Please fill out the nomination form and submit it by Dec. 20, 2009. If you have backup documentation that you’d prefer to mail, please send it to my attention at:
